Powertrain Systems

Powertrain systems cover the group of components used to transmit engine power to the driving wheels. It can consist of engine, clutch, transmission, universal joints, drive shaft, differential gear, and axle shafts. Powertrain components are matched according to driver needs such as high torque, fuel economy, or convenience. Electronic control systems are used to fulfill these very needs of the driver. Environmental concerns and stringent government regulations to achieve low to very low emissions and safety of the passengers make the use of electronics mandatory for the car and components manufacturers.

We offer product engineering services to develop platform software and hardware for powertain applications. The platform software may be developed on 8 /16 / 32 bit microcontrollers and may include boot loader, real-time kernel, drivers for various inputs and outputs, peripherals, communication protocols such as CAN / CCP, Class-2 VPW and PWM / J1850, K-Line / KWP2000 (ISO, SAE or manufacturer variations), diagnostics, EOL reprogramming and calibration tools access. We also help customers develop their vehicle specific application strategies for features such as Torque / ETC, Ignition, Diagnostics, Closed Loop Fuel Control, Anti-theft System, and Immobilizer, for both gasoline and diesel engines.
